On location for Marmelades

We also make films and this short film was written by Alexander Lynch a member of our play reading and play writing group.

"Marmeladas” by Alexander Lynch is a thought provoking short film about a family who have a disabled child, Helen. They gather to have a portrait taken by Helen’s Lithuanian carer who is also a photographer. Instead of saying “cheese” when a photo is about to be taken they say “ marmeladas” hence the name of the film. Each of the family speaks their private thoughts about Helen and what she means to them. Mother, sister and father have all found it tough to cope, but the carer has formed a bond with Helen. And it’s Helen who speaks wise words.

The film has been submitted to several festivals so we can’t give a link to it yet. As soon as we can we shall!
